They're baaaaaack!!!!

Photo-heavy post coming up, people!!!!!!!

I love this kind of post.

So anyhoo, this week was the transition into the first 'legit' warm days of spring.  It's about time!  This spring is extra fun because our young one is old enough to appreciate little things we can do when it's warm outside - she was too squishy to have much fun outside last summer!

Having said that though, this week did include some fabulous indoor pursuits:

Rockin' - a video.
We also had a good look at Chris Hadfield on the International Space Station, wringing out a wet towel in space:
Lennan was enthralled.

We continued to have fun in the bath!
Lennan is gonna love these bath pictures when she's 14...

We got to visit with some little friends in Toronto early in the week and had some outside time!
Beautiful Alexa and Doug.
Fun with dirt.  Lennan, Alexa (2.3), Adrian (1 yr) and Adrian's mommy, Tash.
Yes, this was Lennan's first time playing in dirt and it made Mommy anxious, but then Mommy realized where she came from and stopped being so uptight.  How was this her first time touching dirt, at almost 9 months? That is ridiculous.  Lol.

Fun in the backyard pretending we can walk.
Afterwards I got a text from Alexa's mommy that confirmed what I suspected:  Lennan has a special name that she gets called by everyone under the age of 3:

Yes, like our friend Linc, Alexa calls Lennan "Lemon."
Back at home, we went out in the beautiful weather for a walk:

Loving the sunshine.

On the weekend, the whole family packed up and drove to Chatham to see Grandma and Grandpa English, who have returned to us from Arizona!!!!!!!!!!!  They had been following Lennan's adventures on the blog, but it was great to get together in real life!  Here are the photos from our visit:

Salsa dancing with Grandma.  Nice moves!
She loved eating Grandma's glasses!

Some head-drumming ensued:
Drummin' ona Daddy
Drumming/Hair-pulling ona Grampa
Absolutely.  Amazing.  Turkey feast.  One of many similar feasts!
The knife-wielding maniac only came to this one though.

Can this really be her first experience with grass?  SERIOUSLY!?

She loved grass.

Rolling around with Mommy
Is anyone immune to making the "open wide" face while feeding a child?  Lol!
Thanks for the applesauce, Grampa!
Cute.
We went to the park:
I'll take 7 of you!
Is that for here or to go?  Oh man, I'm funny.

Adventure on the swings!  a great video.

And an adventure on the slide!  Her second slide encounter, this time "by herself."  Growing and learning, she is!

Welcome home, you two!!!!!!!

Here's to many more adventures in the dirt and grass - actually touching it!
